Endless (because we all have a ton of extra time) online scrolling and reading.
From these, I have one important lesson I’ve learned (of many) to offer.
During this pandemic, wholesalers seem to be lining up in three distinct segments:
The Denier – though shrinking in number, there are still members of our community that believe (hope?) that what they’re seeing isn’t really real.
That their business isn’t shifting beneath them.
That some way, some how, this passes soon and all business returns to pre-February protocols and levels.
The Observer – watching closely, and by no means in denial, this group is absorbing a ton of ideas and information.
The problem is, they are stuck in the mud.
They are unfortunate victims of the loop playing in their heads and/or do not have a support group/community of peers/superiors that help them move forward.
The Get Out Of My Way Because When This All Ends I’m Coming Out On Top – occupying the rare air, in the top 20% of our community, are folks that I speak to that are genuinely charged up.
They are meeting this Coronavirus head-on and doing their level-headed best to kick it’s ass before it kicks theirs.
They are networking, creating ideas, testing assumptions and executing.
They are confident that when this dust storm settles, and it will, they will have elevated their standing in their firm, with their clients, and in their network of friends and family.
