Valuable lessons.
We’ve all learned them.
Back at the beginning of my wholesaling career there was a manager (Anne) that asked if I could do a meeting on a Friday.
My (dumbest possible) answer was, “Friday’s are my office days, I don’t do appointments”.
As I was new on her wholesaling scene, Anne decided to call my boss and vent her displeasure with my answer.
Thankfully, rather than ripping me a new one, my boss explained that Anne had a history of volatility.
And then she said something that resonated loudly.
“Build the best relationship with Anne that you can…and the fact is that you will outlast her in this business”.
After +15-years of service to our wholesaling community, I've now retired - and I’m committed to keeping all our resources available for future generations of wholesalers and their leaders – but only as long as it makes fiscal sense.

Whoa.
Sound advice.
Sure enough, less than a year later Anne was gone – and did not resurface in my wholesaling world.
She was built to run a 100 meter race.
I was learning to run the marathon called wholesaling.
How’s your race being run?
