The President of the distributor had an announcement to make.
“I’ve decided to reorganize and add another layer of management to our growing firm. In doing so, I’ll have more time to think”, he said.
To which I distinctly remember thinking, “I’m busting my hump in the field every day, barely able to breathe, and you’ll have more time to ‘think’?!”
Only later did I understand the significance of what he was saying.
He, and you, need time to think.
To reflect.
To assess.
To evaluate.
To process.
To plan.
To ideate.
To stew, mull, marinate, or just plain be at peace with your thoughts.
You are in a marathon profession.
Stop running your practice like it’s a sprint.
