Naturally, as we blast through the day, human biology reminds us that right now would be a good time to find a restroom.

So it was that I raced into a vacant restroom on the second floor of an office building to do what we all must do.

As I sat, appreciating the momentary quiet of an empty bathroom, the front door opened.

Through the silence, I heard curious footsteps.

Rather than the footfall of a loafer or a laced dress shoe, this was the unmistakable sound of a high heel clicking on a tiled floor.

As my head began to rush with embarrassment, I peeked though the crack in the stall door.

Sure enough, the woman in the dress at the sink confirmed my worst fear.

In my unconscious haste, I had planted myself in the Ladies Room.

While I missed the sign on the door, the sign from ‘above’ was clear: sometimes we need to slow down.
