She had a record sales month.

She said, “I just got lucky.”

He got the elephant advisor to drop a huge ticket.

He chalked it up to right place, right time.

She made the annual wholesaler top producer trip.

She said, “The stars just aligned I guess.”

Luck is what happens when an unemployed pipe fitter from West Virginia wins $300 million in the Powerball lottery jackpot.

Right place, right time describes the hero that rescues a cat from a burning building that he happened to be walking by.

The stars (actually planets) align so infrequently as to be measured in decades, often centuries.

Great wholesalers work their butts off for every trade, every day.

Their processes are defined.

Their brands are distinct.

They create their success.

They don’t get lucky.

When we started coaching, in my new role in 2015, my territory had done roughly $17 million.

I finished 2018 at just over $449 million in total sales, a record year for me.
