Are you familiar with 30 Rockefeller Plaza in NYC?
You may know that high atop 30 Rock stood The Rainbow Room, which used to be open for dining and made a great place to entertain advisors.
One late Saturday night, after a due diligence dinner in the mid 1990’s, I exited 30 Rock with an advisor named Alice on my arm (she was, how shall we say, DRUNK).
Alice was African American and wore her hair in long dreadlocks.
If you and I have not met, know that I am Caucasian, tall and thin.
As we made our way through the revolving door to the street a small crowd started to descend on us with pens and photos in hand.
They were immediate crushed when they realized that I was not the host of Saturday Night Live that week (Ted Danson), and Alice was not his then fling Whoopi Goldberg!
Fame.
So Fleeting.
