Confessions of a Wholesaling Workaholic

Guilty as charged – and that’s all I have to say.

Work consumes who I am.

It defines my existence.

And I am not proud of this fact.

And I’m damn sure not alone, especially in our business.

You get paid a ton of money relative to other professions and you work endlessly.

How many family life events have you missed?

I remember one time I was away for my wife’s birthday and my boss called to apologize to HER that his meeting conflicted with her celebration.

During my coaching sessions I have heard about breakups, divorces, missed kid’s soccer championships, missed school parent teacher conferences, etc., etc.

I’ve worked with folks that are consumed by dragging the rock around that says “My call reports are not done for the last month and my boss is pissed”.

Hell, I know of wholesalers that are paralyzed by the anxiety that is created by the weight of 6 weeks of unattended expense reports.

The reality is much of this comes with the turf. It’s part of the price you pay.

Look, we both know that wholesaling is a lifestyle. It’s not just a J.O.B.
